Brief Background Information:-
The Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau (UPMB) is a leading Christian Organization coordinating over 277 health facilities spread all over Uganda. The UPMB network in conjunction with Mildmay Uganda received funding from PEPFAR to recruit Human Resources for Health for some of its facilities. UPMB is hereby inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill up the vacancies and be part of a professional and seW-driven team dedicated to maintaining quality health care in Uganda.

Report to:
Medical Officer or Clinical Officer.
Job Purpose: To carry out generalized laboratory examination for diseases diagnosis, treatment, prevention and control.
 Location: Kalungi and Kako HC III in Kalungu and Masaka Districts respectively.
 
Skills and qualifications:
•    Must have a Diploma in Medical laboratory Techniques from a recognized institution.
Other requirements:
Must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council
Must have a valid Annual practicing License [APL]
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyzing and interpreting laboratory results and SUbmitting reports.
Liaising with ward management in preparation of patients for laboratory tests.
Advising clinical staff in collection, handling and transportation of specimens to the laboratory.
Participating in primary health care activities.
Compiling, analyzing and preparing performance reports for submission to relevant authorities.
Participating in quality assurance for laboratories. Participating in research activities.
Adhering to professional code of conduct and Ethics.
