About The Job
Our client is a democracy assistance organization supporting political parties and building their capacities to engage in constructive dialogue on relevant political and policy issues. It provides education programmes for (potential) politicians focusing on democratic values, knowledge and skills.

Summary Of The Role:
As a successful candidate, you will be fully dedicated to the effective management of our new project aimed at strengthening the capacity of political parties. You will support and assist the Programme Manager in the daily activities for the project.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide logistical support in the implementation of the project and ensure the political parties submit all the required documentation regarding the implementation of project activities.
• Assist the Programme Manager in ensuring that all activities are reported on using the agreed monitoring and evaluation tools and that all necessary documentation is received from the participating political parties.
• Assist the Programme Manager to monitor and analyze political developments that may have implications for the project and keep track of the various party activities under the project.
• Assist the Programme Manager in the coordination of the cross –party activities that will be organized by the PMU during the course of the project.
• Perform any other tasks related to the project as delegated by the Programme Manager or the Country Coordinator

Minimum Job requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Development Studies or a relevant field.
• Three (3) years minimum experience in a related field
• Knowledge of project management cycle
• Good understanding of the political system in Uganda
• Proven interpersonal skills

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

At least 5-8 years of experience providing technical leadership in hygiene behavior change and communication, both for water supply and sanitation activities.
Past experience in coordination, planning, monitoring large scale public health initiatives with government
Subject-matter expertise in hygiene promotion, behavior change communication (BCC), and local capacity building.
Deep knowledge and understanding of CLTS and WASH methodologies

Brief Job Summary:

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Establish standards, procedures and ethics for multimedia services;
Carry out research on multimedia trends on different platforms in a converged environment and advise on appropriate interventions
Conduct and report on multimedia service provider inspections to ensure compliance with legislation, license conditions and communication standards;
Assist in development of multimedia licenses and reviewing license applications;
Monitor operations of Internet protocol (IP) based services/IPTV and IP Radio;
Monitor and report on the use of internet content platforms by Ugandan artists in the creative industry;
Monitor ISP compliance with the codes of practice developed by the Commission.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The candidate should ideally hold a good Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Mass Communication or any related field from a recognized University.
Possess a minimum working experience of at least one (1) year in areas of broadcasting, multimedia and telecommunications.
Knowledge in the use of computer applications is mandatory.
The applicant should understand and hold a wide range of experience in maintenance, usage and knowledge of technical broadcast equipment and appreciates the responsibilities interpreting the broadcasting programmes and facilities;
Demonstrates honesty and willing to work with minimum supervision;
Possesses excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

• The DCoP must be experienced in addressing the challenges faced by children affected by HIV or otherwise living in adverse circumstances, as demonstrated by at least five years of experience designing, implementing and managing large, complex projects involving multiple partners, in/for developing countries.
• Experience in Uganda is preferred.
• Experience with child welfare and protection programs, systems strengthening, capacity building, economic strengthening, service delivery, quality improvement or policy development is required.
• Experience with programming to address gender concerns and programming for very young children and adolescents/youth required.
• Strong interpersonal, writing and oral presentation skills in English are also required.
• Minimum of five years of experience living or working in a developing country is desirable; experience living and working in Uganda is preferred.
The DCoP’s experience and education shall be complementary to those of the CoP.
