Program Accountant [non-manager level] — Kampala

Main duties and responsibilities:

1. Prepare and check advance requests and payment vouchers tor both cash and bank payments.
2. Prepare and check procurement and service provider bills.
3. Managemem of domestic and international money transfers.
4. Handling of cash management.
5. Prepare and maintain staff payroll inclusive of NSSF and PAYE payments.
6. Follow up of and receive accountability of advances.
7. Prepare monthly protect accounts and book keeping.
8. Assist in annual and monthly program / project budgeting.
9. Strengthen organisations‘ and partners financial and accounting capacity.

Qualiilcations and competencies:
 
Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting and for protessional qualification in A.C.C.A. CPA, CA, CIA or GMA or equivalent.
Knowledge of microsoft Excel, Vision Excel, Word, PowerPoint and accouming programs.
High level of ethics and integrity, good communication skills.
Good understanding of deveiopmem issues.
At least 3 years relevant professicnal work experience.

Driver — one position, Ayilo I Refugee Settlement, ldjumani.
Drive organisation's vehicles in strict adherence to laws governing road safety.
Arrange and do basic maintenance and services of project vehicles and do routine checks.
Prepare maintenance and spare part requests, keep stock and fuel records.
Assist in purchases and program activities.

Qualitlcatlons and competencies:
Ordinary level education. Good understanding oi English.
Valid driving licence with class B, DL and min. 5 years clean driving experience.
Basic mechanic knowledge, certificate in defensive driving a plus.
Experience in working with multicultural environment.
Knowledge of Dinka, Nuer and Bari an added advantage.

Starting date: Driver in July 2016 and Accountant in August 2016.

Qualifications/ experience and competencies

1. A degree in Mechanical, Electrical engineering or related engineering field.

3. Sales experience is a requirement.
4. Must be computer literate
5. Must have a valid driving license
6. Writing and reporting skilis
