About the Job: Due to a number of upcoming funding opportunities, Malaria Consortium anticipates scaling up its work in malaria and child health over the coming year and is looking to strengthen its
team in a number of technical and programme management areas. Malaria Consortium is looking to select, and if successful in securing additional contracts, recruit, a Deputy Chief of Party. The post will be based in project offices in Kampala.
Note: THIS POST IS DEPENDENT UPON SUCCESSFUL AWARD OF FORTHCOMING GRANT
The DCoP will manage the day-to-day programme, administrative and reporting work of the project and will supervise its team of technical and administrative staff. S/he will ensure compliance with all donor regulations.
Eligibility: The successful candidate will have:
- Master's degree
- Extensive relevant experience post degree, including four years of relevant experience in developing countries
- In depth experience in managing administrative functions
- In-depth knowledge of USAID regulations, systems and procedures for managing complex grant programmes with multiple partners
- Proven leadership skills and team leading
- Fluency in written and spoken English required
- Strong people management skills with the ability to provide guidance and support
- Proven strong organisational skills and strong track record in meeting deliverables and deadlines
- Demonstrated experience preparing comprehensive progress reports on complex programmes
