Job Title: Agriculture Extension Officer (2 Vacancies)__Location: Kyangwali (Hoima) and Kyaka II (Kyegegwa) Refugee Settlements. About FRC:_Finnish Refugee Council (FRC) is an NGO providing adult education and community development among refugees in Uganda since 1997 as an operational partner to OPM and UNHCR. FRC seeks to employ Ugandans for these positions:Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Plan and coordinate agriculture related income generating groups among refugee learners.
· Provide professional mentorship, training and support to agriculture related refugee groups.
· Design training materials related to agriculture, nutrition and environmental issues.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
· Degree in Agriculture (animal science / crop science).
· Hands-on experience on participatory methods, training farmers.
· 2 years professional experience on agriculture extension and community development.
Starting date: March 2013
Duration of appointment: Up to 31.12.2013 with possibility of one year extension at a time.
