Key Duties and responsibilities
• Assist Districts and Town Councils in developing realistic annual and quarterly work plans and budgets for community development / mobilization in line with the national strategies and sector guidelines/ schedules to Local Governments
• Support the operation and maintenance of water and sanitation facilities and assist District Local Governments to generate and maintain a data base of existing and new water and sanitation committees and their functionality status with gender disaggregated data on the committee membership.
• Support the district LGs in the preparation of monthly , quarterly and annual progress reports in the standard reporting formats availed to the districts
Qualifications and skills
• Honors degree in Development Studies , Social Sciences or social work and Social Administration with a minimum of Post Graduate Diploma in the relevant field .
• Post graduate training in use of participatory tools and methodologies shall be an added advantage ..
• She should have good knowledge on Decentralization in Uganda .
• Ten years of professional experience in community development work with at least three years in a water and sanitation sector
