Job title: IT Manager

Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Be the overall in-charge of the IT Dept.
• Strengthen system controls
• Provide IT strategic advice to the CEO
• Review and constantly upgrade VFU IT Policies and procedures.
• Annually review and alignment IT strategy to that of VFU
• Attend management meeting and provide information on progress of the department
Qualifications and skills;
• University Degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology or related field
• 3 years experience in managing MIS/ IT component of a bank or a microfinance operation in a regulated setting
• proven expertise in network administration and in troubleshooting common PC problem
• Must have knowledge of intermediate accounting and basic statistics
• advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office productivity applications, database applications and other related applications;
• Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of rectitude
• Ready to comply and live up to and in accordance with the organization Ideals and Core Values
• good analytical and problem solving skills
• Be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach
• Very good communicator
• experience in software installation an added advantage
• Professional certification with ACCA or CPA is an added advantage.
• A minimum of 1 years consistent working experience in a finance institution or recognized institution
