TASK
The task will mainly involve the drafting, designing and writing a proposal in addition to searching funding organizations that can donate funds towards the establishment of a food banana seedling project for our community. The proposal will also include the training of the community in sustainable agricultural skills that emphasizes the use of organic farming methods that are friendly with our environment and the eco system.
The deadline for the assignment is two months. We shall give all the necessary information to the volunteers on a weekly basis at least three times a week. We shall also communicate with the volunteers through other internet channels like skype and face book. We can also communicate through telephone calls and text messages.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
For the last twenty five years, our organization has been working with the community implementing various community development projects and programs. Food security is one of our priority program. However it is very much absurd to note that food production in our area of operation drastically decreasing. This has also led to rampant poverty, ignorance and disease because the people do not have enough food for consumption, cannot earn from their production and cannot send their children to school.
OBJECTIVE
1- To increase food production in the area
2- To utilize the available land sustainably
3- To protect our environment by practicing agro forestry methods of agriculture through the application of organic farming methods
4- To increase the income of the farmers so that they can become self reliant and productive
5- To train the farmers in sustainable agricultural skills and methods.
6- To decrease the spread of diseases caused by poor feeding and malnutrition especially from the children/mothers

REQUIREMENTS
The volunteers need to have knowledge and experience in project planning and management especially projects related to sustainable agriculture and organic farming. They also have skills in searching the internet to identify potential funding organizations of our proposed program. They should have skills in community development programs and activities.
