JOB TITLE: PHYSICAL PLANNER
Salary Scale: U4 Reports to: Town Clerk Job purpose:
1. To undertake physical planning of trading centers within the Town Council and ensure that building Plans conform to the master plan. Key functions:
2. Planning towns and trading centers in the Town Council:
3. Guiding developers in processing proper building plans:
4. Enforcing the Town and county planning Act,1964;and other relevant laws:
5. Drawing the structural land use layout;
6. Drawing site plans for plots (building) developments and processing their approval:
7. Demarcating plots in towns / trading centers;
8. Inspecting structures / buildings in town trading centers to ensure compliance with the land use plan:
9. Maintaining the district Planning information. equipment and records: and
10. Guiding council authorities on balanced development
Requirement:
· An Honors Bachelors Degree in either physical planning, Regional Planning; Urban Planning or any other qualifications from a recognised training institution.
· Knowledge of computer software application packages especially geographical Information system (G.I.S) and automated Computer Aided Design (AUTOCAD).
