Banyan Global operates seamlessly within four practice areas: microfinance, financial sector development, enterprise development, and the health sector.
Job Summary: Banyan Global is currently recruiting for personnel to work on a USAID-funded private health sector development project in Uganda. The project seeks to improve the ability of private sector health providers to manage their practices profitability, and to access credit. Banyan Global is currently seeking a Business and Financial Advisor to provide support and technical assistance to partner banks and other financial institutions identified as potentially providing a source of financing to private health providers.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
·         A minimum of 5 years of experience working in the Ugandan banking and finance sector;
·         Knowledge and understanding of the business needs of small and medium sized businesses;
·         Knowledge of business development services, including training, counseling and business networking;
·         Familiarity with the private health sector in Uganda;
·         Excellent project management, communication, writing, and computer skills;
·         Ability to negotiate, manage and build partnerships;
·         Knowledge and experience with the policy and regulatory environment as relates to business and finance side of the private health sector in Uganda;
·         Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or other relevant discipline;
·         Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
·         Ability to travel within Uganda (up to 30%).
·         Previous experience working on USAID projects is a plus.
·         Strong preference will be given to Ugandan nationals.

Compensation & Benefits Overview:  Salary commensurate with background and experience.
