Job Title:  General  Ledger Accountant
The CNOOC   Uganda Limited  is seeking  to employ  qualified suitable applicants  to fill the vacant post above.
Duties and Responsibilities

•    Responsible for  DD&A  booking, common cost allocation  and monthly operating cost  accrual.
•    Preparation and design of financial  /managerial  reports for  presentation to management .
•    Responsible for  regular  and adhoc analysis.
•    Closing of the general Ledger  for Month-end, Quarter end  and year end financials
•     Preparation of quarterly  Balance sheets  and  P&L  Fluctuational  Analysis .
Requirements and skills
•    Bachelors degree  or above  in Accounting , Finance  or equivalent
•    ACCA or  CPA  Certification.
•    Minimum four years related  working experience  in a successful Mult-National Company.
Knowledge
•    Extensive  knowledge  of both Uganda  and International laws on economics, Commerce and Financial Accounting
•    Extensive knowledge  of  GAAP.
•    Extensive knowledge of  the  SAP  Software.
•    Clear understanding  of oil  Exploration  & Production.
