Administrative and Finance Manager – Kampala
Administrative and Finance Manager – Kampala
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, job evaluations and performance
management / measurement, and keep and develop appropriate database.
• Staff recruitment (adverts, applicant evaluation, interviews, contracts, orientation)
• Ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements for HR and finance management.
• Prepare advance requests and payment vouchers for both cash and bank payments.
• Follow up of accountability of advances and prepare monthly accounts. Qualifications and competencies:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management with financial skills, Business
Administration (HR specialisation) or Accounting with strong HR experience.
• High level of ethics and integrity, good communication skills.
• Good knowledge of budgeting and accounting procedures.
• Good understanding of development issues.
• At least 4 years relevant professional work experience.
Community Development Officer (Adult Education) Kyangwali, Hoima
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Promote participatory development in adult learning and common interest groups.
• Design, monitor, conduct and facilitate literacy and English language training activities.
• Provide professional mentorship, training and support to local facilitators and project staff.
• Conduct participatory assessment with refugee groups on their training needs.
• Identify and initiate relevant methods and practises for literacy and language training.
Academic qualifications and competencies:
• University degree in Adult Education, Pedagogy or Community Development with
experience on adult education programs.
• Strong experience on carrying out participatory assessments, planning and training.
• 3 years professional community development work experience.
Agribusiness Officer, Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, Kyegegwa
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate agriculture related income generating activities and seek opportunities for agribusiness among refugees.
• Provide professional mentorship, training and support to agriculture related refugee groups.
• Design training materials related to agriculture, agribusiness, environmental etc. issues.
Academic qualifications and competencies:
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture with specialisation / experience in agribusiness.
• Hands-on experience on participatory methods, training farmers, developing
agribusiness.
• 2 years professional experience on agriculture as business, community development.
Starting date: March 2014.
