REQUIRED SKILLS: oracle Application Admin
- Understanding of Database Architecture concepts
- Awareness on application Database Administration basics.
- Ability to understand basic database administration
- Ability to understand database administration tools
- Working knowledge of database specific data movement tools
- Strong knowledge of database specific data movement tools
- Strong knowledge in database architecture
- Able to implement application database administration skills (like Application/Development Support Admin)
- Working knowledge on database administration using tools like OEM
- Ability to understand database upgrade- Ability to understand database migration process
The PL-SQL Database programming basics
- Ability to understand and implement declaring variables, executable statements, control structures, composite data types, explicit cursors, handling exceptions, creating procedures, creating functions and creating database triggers.
Advanced Database programming
- Ability to understand and implement collections, multi level collections, ref cursors, bulk procession, bulk bind and bulk collect, DBMS_OUTPUT, UTL_FILE
- Ability to Tune PL/SQL Applications for Performance, Using PL/SQL With Object Types, Performing SQL Operations with Native Dynamic SQL,
Performance aspects in PL/SQL
- Ability to understand and implement Advanced Explicit Cursors, Managing Subprograms, Creating Packages, Oracle Supplied Packages, Adv. Triggers, Managing Dependencies SQL Developer Tool for Database Programming Tools, Level 1 Usage
Understanding of Database Migration Process
Understanding of Database Upgrade
- Ability to work on Database Upgrade using PL/SQL
- Ability to work on Database Migrations using PL/SQL
- Exposure to Data Migration Tools
- Exposure to Multi DB - Multi Platform Migration
DB Modeling
Real Database Management Systems
- Exposure to basic relational database concepts
- Basic types of databases, data integrity, the relational model etc
- Ability to understand basics of DB design, logical modeling, normalization & de-normalization techniques
- Working knowledge of DB design/modeling techniques (Logical and physical DB modeling)
- Ability/understanding of conceptual model
- Advanced knowledge of one modeling tool (like ER Win, ER Studio, Visio, Power Designer, SELECT etc)
- Implementation/experience of logical & physical database modeling for small/medium application databases
MORE ADDITIONAL SKILLS
- Maintenance of shell scripts
- Debugging and troubleshooting the shell scripts
- Ability to develop scripts interfering with databases
- Ability to handle large scripts that in-turn use multiple executables and external scripts

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
