We are seeking suitable candidates to fill two positions within our East and Southern Africa (EASA) Regional Office – located In Kampala, Uganda. The EASA Region includes Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Burundi, with a small pro­gram in Kenya.

Regional Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer

JOB SUMMARY

As part of the Regional Leadership team, the Regional Monitoring. Evaluation and Learning Officer (HMEO) will be part of a Regional Technical and Advisory Team that supports the Country Office managers, M&E Officers, and partners to strengthen a culture and practice of monitoring and evaluation for continuous improvement The RMEO will provide technical leadership and support all Monitoring, Evaluation. Reporting and Learning (MERL) activities in the East and Southern Africa (EASA) Region of Right To Play (RTP).

The RMEO will work in collaboration with the global M&E team In the Toronto Headquarters and report to the Deputy Regional Director.

Key Result Areas

    Ensure timely and accurate reporting of outputs by updating and maintaining the organization’s Quarterly Data system; analyzing regional data, and sharing regular regional dashboard reports
    Conduct periodic country technical assistance trips to support and oversee the quality of data collection processes and data management systems
    Lead the regional implementation of the M&E database
    Inform continuous program improvement by integrating key M&E best practices into regional program planning and design dialogues and initiatives.
    Serve as principal evaluate for major baseline and needs assessment studies, while supporting country teams in routine needs assessments and baselines.
    Provide ongoing mentorship and technical support for M&E officers in Right To Play East and Southern African countries.
    Lead regional M&E Trainings with country program and M&E staff/partners to enhance monitoring, learning and information sharing.

Requirement:

    Required (must have): University Degree in social sciences, international development or a related Held
    Applied training in evaluation methodologies and analysis
    Desired (asset): Masters degree in International development, community development, public policy, business administration or a related field

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    Candidates should possess 2-4 years practical experience developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems
    1-2 years practical experience working in child/youth development progress in a similar content.
    Experience developing and implementing results-based management.
    Strong written communication and presentation skills, presenting evaluation findings through a variety of mediums—reports, dashboards, webinars
    Fluency in English (written and verbal).
