Job title: Technical Auditor
Department : Internal Audit Department
Reports to : Manager Internal Audit

 
Role Definition:
Responsible for conducting effective and timely technical reviews on road programs financed as per pertormance Agreements signed with Designated Agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and regularly update technical audit/review guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Prepare and implement strategic and annual plans, time schedules and budgets for technical reviews.
Prepare tile scope of tecbntcal reviews for desiqnated agencies and supervise the Consultants undertaking the reviews.
Carry out planned and ad-hoc technical reviews on selected projects in designated agencies and make recommendations for corrective actions.
Review periodic reports and other relevant information of desiqnated agencies to identify points of attention and leads for detailed technical audits.
Audit compliance of various road/bridge works to ruling standards/specifications.
Conduct site inspections to verify actual conditions and quality of works executed.
Evaluate results of the technical reviews for value for money and compliance with standard procedures and performance agreements.
Prepare draft reports for submission to Management and the Board.
Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.
 
Skills and Qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
2. Should be in the process of obtaining and/or acquiring registration with tile Engineers Registration Board.
3. Minimum of 5 year experience in the road sub-sector and experience in Road Works Supervision
 
Skills and Abilities
i. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. ii. Computer literacy
iii. Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality.
iv. Demonstrable team leadership and good organization skills.
Age limit Not more than 40 years
Gross Salary: UGX. 6,000,000 p.m.
