Description
Under overall guidance and supervision of the Assistant Representative and direct supervision of the Programme Specialist, the Programme Analyst will provide technical leadership in coordinating and strengthening capacity of CO staff and implementing partners in programme monitoring, evaluation and reporting. S/he will play a pivotal role in Quality Assurance for all UNFPA programmes. Slhe will also playa supportive role to the CO Programme Specialist in facilitating the Common and Country Programming Processes. Further, sfhe will participate in building capacity and managing UNFPA implementing partners to ensure effective and efficient programming. Slhe will be required to participate in National, Interagency and UNFPA Regional Office technical working groups! teams. Slhe will be required to work with other UN agencies in Uganda as team; in line 'Delivering as One' model. Slhe will work jointly with the Government of Uganda and other relevant stakeholders that align with the UNFPA's programme Agenda. Slhe will ensure that the monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities are compliant with the Result-Based Management (RBM) principles and UFPA guidelineslstandards.Slhe will be instrumental in mobilizing resources from potential donors.

Programme Specialist, the Program Associate - Policy, Programme Coordination and Quality Assurance Unit (Program Associate-PPCQAU) - will provide technical and administrative to the effective coordination and management of UNFPA activities under the PPCQA Unit. The Program Associate-PPCOA provides support for effective delivery of UNFPA programs by monitoring results achieved in the implementation. He/she supports the appropriate application of systems and procedures and develops enhancements as required.
